Blagg & Johnson have a long history in the pressed and rolled metal industry, having been active since 1921. I was approached to revise the previous brand identity with a more modern approach which still harked back to their traditional roots. Customers identified quite strongly with the red of the logo so this was to stay as it had been a brand colour for most of the company’s history. I simplified the existing branding, incorporating new fonts and created a new logo which the company could take forward without alienating any of their long term clients and still staying true to the history of the company.
